Analyses et recueil au FCLV

Après une année d’échanges virtuels avec les membres du Fertility Center, notamment Romain, nous y voilà enfin, pour de vrai. Cette sensation est étrange, car nous avons l’impression de faire un saut vers la réalité. À présent, nous pouvons nous faire une image précise de ce que l’on s’imaginait de la clinique.

Lorsque nous sommes arrivés, nous avons commencé par réaliser une prise de sang qui va déceler toutes les maladies génétiques et vérifier ainsi notre compatibilité avec notre donneuse d’ovocyte (si elle est porteuse du même gêne). Nous obtiendrons ces résultats dans 3 semaines environ, en fonction du temps que cela prendra pour les interpréter.

Ensuite, nous sommes passés au recueil de sperme qui a été plus fructueux pour Mathieu que pour moi. Je suis bon pour y retourner dans deux jours. Cette fois il faudra tout donner ! ^^

Après avoir procédé à la vérification de quelques points importants, nous avons enfin signé les derniers documents:  

- En cas de décès, nous avons choisi de donner nos embryons à un autre couple infertile.

- Nous avons donné l'accord à la clinique pour procéder au test PGS (Preimplantation Genetic Screening) de l'embryon qui permettra de déterminer sa viabilité mais aussi de connaître le sexe du futur enfant.  

- Enfin, nous avons signé le contrat définitif qui détaille l'intégralité du processus : recueil de sperme, stimulation et ponction ovarienne pour la donneuse d'ovocyte et transfert d'embryon pour la future mère porteuse.

After a year of virtual exchanges with members of the Fertility Center, including Romain, here we are finally, for real. This feeling is strange, because we have the impression to make a jump to reality. Now we can get a clear picture of what we thought about the clinic.

When we arrived, we began by taking a blood test that will detect all genetic diseases and thus verify our compatibility with our egg donor (if it carries the same genes). We will get these results in about 3 weeks, depending on how long it takes to interpret them.

Then we went to the sperm collection that was more fruitful for Mathieu than for me. I’ll have to do it again in two days. This time it have to excel ! ^^

After checking a few important points, we finally signed the last documents: - In case of death, we chose to give our embryos to another infertile couple. - We gave the agreement to the clinic to carry out the PGS (Preimplantation Genetic Screening) test of the embryo which will make it possible to determine its viability but also to know the sex of the future child. - Finally, we have signed the definitive contract that details the entire process: collection of sperm, stimulation and ovarian puncture for the egg donor and embryo transfer for the future surrogate mother.
